The timer pauses automatically as soon as the tracked time reaches the maximum working period for a single day. Timers only record time on workdays and do not exceed the defined working period per day. Workflow timers are synchronized with the global time tracking settings for your server. Use this workflow when you want to track time spent working on an issue without affecting the value for the State field. Instead of using the value for the State to start and stop the timer, this workflow uses the values for an independent Timer field. The behavior is similar to the In Progress Work Timer.
